Height 8 to 12 feet and spread 6 to 8 feet. Reddish in bud, turning to pink flowers, late June after other hybrid varieties are finished blooming. Large dark green leaves are evergreen. This is a hybridized, superior form of the wild Rhododendron Maximum. A cross between Roseum Elegans and
Maximum, thus giving it better flowers and a much more compact growth habit. Excellent evergreen for use as tall, flowering screen. THIS IS ONE OF THE ONLY RHODODENDRONS THAT WILL BLOOM IN COMPLETE SHADE. However, it can also do well in full or half day sun.
