Height to 25 to 30 feet. Spread 20 to 25 feet. Clusters of small single white flowers in May and early June. Bright red fruit, fall and winter. Fall color, scarlet-orange. Very decorative tree for use as a specimen tree, screen, street plantings and naturalizing. Its dense, twiggy branches cut down on road noise and light glare. Berries attract birds. Thorns are a deterrent from browsing deer.
